March 24, 2023, the date when Resident Evil 4 Remake will debut on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation consoles, is fast approaching. Capcom has already revealed a lot of information about the long-awaited remake, but there are still several surprises to be discovered.

Now comes an exciting clue from the IMDb page dedicated to Resident Evil 4 Remake, which already offers a partial list of the voice actors involved in the project, complete with their roles. Well, the list also mentions the presence of Albert Wesker in the game, played by Connor Fogarty, who had already lent his voice to the character when he appeared in Dead By Daylight as a guest star. This would confirm Wesker's presence within the work, although official confirmation from Capcom is lacking for the time being.

Many possibilities

A historical villain of the series since the first instalment, and with central roles in games such as Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil 5, in Resident Evil 4, Wesker was not present in the main story and made just simple appearances in the secondary content of the 2005 classic, with cameos in the Assignment Ada and Separate Ways modes, and as a playable character in the Mercenaries mode.

For this reason, the iconic antagonist will likely be present in the remake, although it remains to be clarified what role he might play. It cannot be ruled out that Wesker might be included in the game's main storyline or that the Ada-focused mini-adventures of the original title might be integrated into Leon's story to thus give rise to an even richer and more in-depth product.

In case you missed it: Fire Emblem Engage releases a 9 minute introduction video.

All that remains is to await the release of the game in March or more clarification from Capcom in the coming weeks. In 2021, even before the project's official announcement, the alleged artwork of Wesker related to Resident Evil 4 Remake had surfaced, depicting him in a design never seen before.
