One of the most emblematic and important sagas of the Xbox brand is Gears of War. The adventures of Marcus Fenix and the company captivated an entire generation, which is why hardcore fans want to see a new installment or the announcement of the rumored collection. A new project is underway, although it is likely to disappoint many.
In September of last year, a user discovered a new trademark registration with the United States copyright office. Interestingly, the record was made in categories such as board games, card games, collectible card games, and arcade games.
After months of theories, the doubts were cleared up this week. What happens is that Gears of War will have its own physical board game with cards. The person in charge of the project is Steamforged Games, the same company responsible for the tabletop adaptations of ELDEN RING, Dark Souls, Resident Evil 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Devil May Cry, and many more.
GEARS OF WAR BOARD GAME RISES FROM THE ASHES; WILL DEBUT IN 2023
Details are scarce, but Steamforged Games has already confirmed that Gears of War: The Card Game, the name given to this board game inspired by the Xbox franchise, will be available sometime in 2023.
This project is not new. The publisher revealed the existence of the card game in 2020. The Mexican community was the first to learn about it and play it during Gears 5 Esports Mexico City. Its launch was scheduled for that year.
