Today VALORANT shared the cinematic video that introduces us to the new Episode 6 Act 1 along with the release date of this big update being January 10, 2023. In the video, we can see for one second the revelation of the brand-new map that seems to be located somewhere in India.
As some already know, this update not only brings a new map, but also some changes on the map rotation, skins, and smurf detection system among others. While all of this is expected to happen in the following days, we should take a look a the new map's layout that was revealed in the video.
If we take a closer look at the video, in minute 3:17 we can glimpse for a second the data that Fade obtained while infiltrating a party located in Istambul, Turkey, and it is the layout of the brand-new map located somewhere in India where Astra and Harbor are in the video.
If we consider the layout shown as the official one coming next week, we can already expect a slightly complex map that has different alleyways connecting in the middle that allow a more strategic routing, similar to what the Pearl map offers.
Additionally, VALORANT announced via Twitter that we can see more about this map along with" VALORANT creators starting at 9:00 PT on January 6."

In early December it was stated that Breeze and Bind will exit the map pool in Competitive and Unrated queues with no date set for their return. You can read in further detail these changes by clicking here. This was something data miners mentioned a few days before this official announcement along with the leak of a new map happening in the next update, which was speculated by fans due to the hints shown in the battle pass.
One day before the update for Episode 6 Act 1 arrives, the competitive mode will be disabled, so try to reach the highest rank you can in these last days before January 9 arrives.

When VALORANT brings changes like the ones we will see in this new Episode it is normal to see them promoting their game on networks by participating with the community or giving away some accessories with Twitch Drops, so we can expect some interesting announcements starting next week.
