Hitman 3 will rebrand as Hitman: World of Assassination

IO Interactive brings a big change to the most recent titles of its renowned Hitman franchise. In this case, bringing improvements to Hitman 3 by transforming it into the main game container for all the maps that used to be playable in Hitman 1 and Hitman 2. In the words of IO Interactive there are only benefits for everyone:

"For many players, it will mean free content to enjoy. For others, it will mean significantly cheaper DLC prices. For new players, they’ll have a much better experience buying HITMAN games."

Starting January 26 there will be only two separate products: one includes the main content of the last three Hitman titles, and the second one includes the DLC content. Everything will be accessible through their existing Access Pass system. If you had doubts about which of the three games to buy, now you have only one option to make it easier.

For players that already own Hitman 3 the update will provide all the free content of Hitman 1 and Hitman 2, and for the ones who own H1 or H2 there will be no changes, they can be played as usual. They will not be accessible only to new players. As shown in the official IO Interactive's article the products are set as follows:

• HITMAN – World of Assassination (approx. $70 USD or local equivalent) Includes: HITMAN 3, plus H1 GOTY Access Pass and H2 Standard Access Pass.

• HITMAN – World of Assassination Deluxe Pack (approx. $30 USD or local equivalent) Includes: H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass.

An additional advantage goes for players who already own certain games or DLCs but not others, as there are flexible options that allow you to buy the corresponding World of Assassination pack at a lower price depending on what you already have. It sure brings a new and more simplified way of playing Hitman.
