Although only two months have passed since the record-breaking launch of God of War Ragnarok on PS4 and PlayStation 5, Sony may already be working on the PC porting. This is suggested by the latest job advertisement published by Valkyrie Entertainment.

Joining the PlayStation Studios family in December 2021, Valkyrie Entertainment is a Seattle-based software house that has carved out an increasingly important role over the years in technological support for creating triple-A video games in collaboration with third-party companies such as Microsoft and, indeed, Sony.

What is the job position about?

In the new job ad posted by Valkyrie Entertainment, executives of the new subsidiary of the PlayStation team explain that they are looking for a new Senior Environment Artist to "work on a team that is shaping several AAA titles together with our partners, including the next iteration of God of War, as well as internal projects for mobile and console platforms."

The reference to the "next iteration of God of War" thus seems to suggest Valkyrie Entertainment's development of the PC version of the latest Norse odyssey of Kratos and Atreus.

In case you missed it: A man harasses an IRL Twitch streamer justketh live and gets arrested.

The anticipation shared by Valkyrie Entertainment, on closer inspection, could harken back to the hints offered in recent months by the team at Jetpack Interactive about the PC porting of GoW Ragnarok: the developers of the PC version of the 'first' God of War make no secret of the fact that they are still working on the series together with Sony Santa Monica.
