While waiting to find out what happened to Metroid Prime 4, a mysterious project involving Nintendo engaged in collaboration with Bandai Namco is resurfacing on the horizon.

The first evidence inherent in a partnership between the two companies emerged during the spring of 2022, with the sighting of some mysterious Bandai Namco job ads mentioning just such a title "commissioned" by Nintendo.

What could this be about?

Since then, neither video game giant has offered more precise details on the matter, leaving fans wondering about the possible nature of the collaboration. With the fog still low and definitely thick, the community has now been able to spot additional job announcements dedicated to the project.

At the time of writing, Bandai Namco is indeed still looking for developers eager to contribute to creating a 3D Action for Nintendo Switch of an as yet unspecified nature. We do not know whether this will be completely new, title-perhaps along the lines of what Ubisoft accomplished with the Mario + Rabbids series-or, as it initially seemed, a remake of a game from the Big N's past.

In case you missed it: Most played Steam games of 2022 and more stats revealed by Valve.

What seems decidedly likely, at any rate, is that the Bandai Namco production will see an IP owned by the Kyoto giant take center stage.

What do you hope it might be? Let us know in the comments!
