Dead Space fans upset as they believe women in the remake are "less attractive”

The audacity...

Dead Space will return early next year with an ambitious remake of the original title and in case you didn’t know they have changed a good number of narrative elements and gameplay; and of course, they improved the visuals and atmosphere in order to adapt to the generation.

These improvements didn’t sit well with a certain sector of the community who criticized the new designs of every character, actually, you may have heard that the new Isaac Clarke's face looks like the famous actor Adam Sandler.

Did you know?: We have the first 18 minutes of Dead Space's remake gameplay

Oh...

The community is very upset with the new looks of Nicole Brennan and Kendra Daniels too, claiming that the characters look hideous in comparison with the original release.

Apparently, a few days ago after the long gameplay video and we were able to see the first minutes of the remake's main campaign, the community slammed the characters appearance. Players who enjoyed the original title will know that the narrative begins with a scene of Nicole Brennan, the missing partner of protagonist Isaac Clarke.

Well, as we were saying some people criticized the new design and showed their discontent by flooding Twitter with negative comments saying that the character looks older and is less attractive.

Since when is old, unattractive?

Beauty is subjective, we know. However how come now old is a synonym for ugly? Either way, if you are a fan of the space-horror game you should know that Nicole Brennan's official age remains a mystery. So, how are they so sure that now the character is hideous just because they look of a certain age?

Obviously, these claims generated a heated debate on social media ranging from people who agreed with these opinions and showed their dissatisfaction with the new design, to the ones who said that now the character looks more in line with her age and profession.

Also, there were those who recalled that actress Lyari Limon will be absent and now it will be Tanya Clarke who will be giving life to the protagonist's partner in the new version of Dead Space. On the other hand developers may have decided to make every character as similar to their voice actors and face models.

As expected a certain part of the community is now theorizing that developers are following a "feminist" and "progressive" agenda. To be honest here, this sounds more like some kids in the community don’t know how people look in real life… I mean, remember when some guy on Twitter went crazy after Aloy from the new Horizon Zero Dawn “had a beard”?… Exactly the same.

What do you think of the new models? Remember to share your opinions below.
