Without a doubt, one of the most popular anime around the world right now is Chainsaw Man, which will see its anticipated season finale this Tuesday at Crunchyroll.
Despite this, not everyone likes what they've seen on the screen. A group of fans has decided to unite so that their voices are heard by starting an online petition against the series. That's right. Some are not loving the result of the work done by the animation studio MAPPA with the adaptation of the manga created by Tatsuki Fujimoto.

What's wrong with anime?
According to the information provided by the creators of the petition on Change.org (where else?), the main disagreement is against the adaptation's director, Ryuu Nakayama. The reason? The way the original work has been interpreted.
“I am submitting a petition to Shueisha and Studio MAPPA demanding the re-animation of Chainsaw Man with a new director who has a better understanding of the original work. The voices of many fans will help make this happen, so please do your part by signing the online petition,” asks user Kobeni_car on the mentioned platform.
To be more specific, the text mentions that the animation offers excessive realism and eroticism to the detriment of the impetus and attractive gags of the manga.
Another complaint falls on the sound section of the anime. Those who have signed up for the petition said that the series doesn't offer background songs that are exciting or memorable, the voice acting isn't good, and the power of the sound effects is bland (especially with the chainsaw).

At the time of writing this note, the petition already has over 2,000 signatures. Although it might sound like a high number, the reality is that it falls short of the vast majority who have been enjoying the series. Of course, everyone has the right to make their voices heard.

When the Yakuza betrays him and he's killed by the Zombie Devil, Pochita sacrifices himself to save his former master. Now Denji has been reborn as some kind of weird Devil-Human hybrid.
