During The Game Awards 2022, Hades 2, the sequel to Supergiant Games' beloved rogue-lite, originally released in 2020 and capable of garnering great critical and public acclaim, was officially announced.

The confirmation of a second chapter was enthusiastically welcomed by fans, who are already looking forward to getting their hands on the new adventure that stands in direct continuity with its predecessor in terms of gameplay and aesthetics.

Who is the chained man?

Attracting attention in the reveal trailer was also the appearance of a chained character with a long white beard, which immediately raised several theories among fans of the series: in fact, many were sure that it was the same Hades already known in the first game; however, the change of look had raised doubts to more than one player.

Supergiant Games in person on Twitter finally solved the riddle: responding to a follower who asked for certainty about the identity of the mysterious character, the studio officially confirmed that "yes, it's Hades himself," adding further that his identity had already been revealed by the list of voice actors in the trailer description, specifically the one uploaded by the American team on its official channel.
