Independent video game developer Playwing Bordeaux brings the December update along with an all-new PvE event for Century: Age of Ashes. The update allows for better gameplay and performance when riding your dragons, and you'll need to face swarms of enemies in the new PvE mode.


Century: Age of Ashes is a very recent title released on PC on December 21, 2021, and became available on Xbox Series consoles on March 16 (September 26 for PS4 and PS5). It has shown great potential from the visual and gameplay side and presently has very positive reviews on Steam.

"Season 1 escalates in a final battle as the army of Dwellers clash against the brave Stormraisers in an apocalyptic skirmish." The PvE event is called “The Last Bastion” and it is going to be available from December 15, 2022, to January 18, 2023, and includes:

  • New PvE game mode: "Outbreak"
  • New gameplay: Upgrade System
  • New map: "Hel's Breach"
  • Event rewards, including 4 special dragons

Along with this new event, the corresponding update for December was also brought upon. In general, it brings some performance enhancements along with changes like the game’s menu scene and interface. Matchmaking adjustments were done as well.

  • New User Interface
  • Ranked PvP: Split Queueing System & Icons Rework
  • Matchmaking Quality of Life
  • Shop Update: Winter Packs & Festive dragons

It was also stated by Playwing that "the return and evolution of the game mode (Outbreak) will then depend on players’ feedback." So it might be added as a permanent game mode in the title if most players enjoy it and ask for it to stay.
