The beat-'em-up River City Girls series brings a brand new sequel keeping the old-school rumble gameplay that everyone loves. In this new title, you can join Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki. Additionally, newcomers Provie and Marian enter the city to experience this new adventure.

Sequel's story

River City Girls 2 is the direct sequel to its previous title, and WayForward (the game developers) gives us an overview of what the story of this new title will be about:

"Rescuing their boyfriends and toppling a criminal empire was only the beginning! Unfortunately for the River City Girls, the Sanwakai syndicate's leader, Sabu, has returned to action, and he's dishing out payback. Even with the new allies Marian and Provie at their side, will Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki be able to fight back? More importantly, will they be able to travel across town to buy the latest hit video game?"

The game also has its corresponding key features to bring more entertaining gameplay and content to enjoy while you dive deep into the story while beating all your enemies up:

• Six playable characters, each with their own fighting styles and upgradable moves.

• Enhanced combat: Guard crushes, lift-off combos, elemental attacks, and more!

• River City is bigger than ever, new locations with multiple routes and secret areas.

• Play solo or team up with a friend, locally or online.

• New "hired heavies" aid you in battle! Have two recruits at once!

• Loads of NPCs to meet, interact with, and punch in the face!

• Awesome anime intro, comic book cutscenes, and a spectacular soundtrack!

River City Girls 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. If you haven't played any of the games of this franchise, you can now save some money if you purchase them on Steam!

Because of the new title's launch, developers are celebrating by giving different discounts on all their games until December 22! The discounts are as follows: 50% on River City Girls, 30% on River City Girls Zero, 20% on River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, and 75% on River City Melee Mach!
