Months ago, the news about the purchase of HBO Max became a trend, which, ultimately, the well-known HBO MAX application would merge with Discovery +.

There were many rumors about it, like the application would disappear, the subscription would no longer work, and much more, but to clarify all those doubts, click here to understand about this change.

Returning to the main topic, HBO Max as we know it will disappear to make way for a new streaming service. Without having clear news since then, we have just received information that the company is finally close to deciding on the streaming service's new name.

Why do we say it? This is according to information from CNBC, in which Warner Bros. Discovery executives are about to formalize the official name for their new streaming service. Apparently, this new name will be as simple and short as Max.

But remember that this hasn’t been officially announced; the executives are still discussing the new name; however, everything indicates that the most accurate possibility is the name of Max.

WHAT WOULD THIS NEW NAME CHANGE IMPLY?

More than anything, it means that HBO Max company will rebrand. The report also shares that the company's main objective is to offer something similar to what Disney+ does, which means they want to have one app that provides everything in the same place but split into sections for HBO, Discovery, DC Comics, and Warner Bros.

The new Warner Bros. Discovery service will arrive in the United States in the summer of 2023. This service has yet to set a launch date for Latin America, but we will inform you when an announcement is made.
