VALORANT is a successful tactical shooter from Riot Games, and in its most recent updates, we have noticed some drastic changes. Some are positive changes, and others are not so much.

One of these changes has been made regarding one of the community's favorite sentinels, and another big change has been leaked by a well-known data miner who claims it will arrive for Episode 6.

As you can read above, the data miner states that VALORANT will bring a brand-new map along with the classic map Split coming back in Episode 6, expected to happen around January 2023.

Today, December 2, Riot shared an article via Twitter announcing that Split will return with some changes in early January 2023, along with other changes in the map pool mentioned in the official article. Nothing mentioned about a new map yet.

Breeze and Bind will exit the map pool in Competitive and Unrated queues with no date set for their return. You can read in further detail these changes by clicking here.

What about Chamber?

Yesterday, December 1, the changes that one of the strongest sentinels in the game were revealed. We are talking about Chamber's nerfs, which many people state have left him "dead."

What's different in his abilities?

  • Headhunter (Q) has spread increased after 2nd bullet when spamming.
  • Rendezvous (E) Chamber now places a single anchor that can be teleported to while inside its range. The radius increased, and the teleport activation height restriction was removed. Destroying Rendezvous teleport anchor now disables it for the remainder of the round, instead of being placed on a cooldown. And it no longer incurs an additional cooldown when recalling his Anchor.
  • Trademark (C) trap is now range-restricted and can now be recalled mid-round without any line of sight as Killjoy does with the Alarm Bot. There's a 30-second cooldown on recall too.
  • Tour De Force (X) has its fire rate decreased by 57.5%.

You can watch all of these changes in the video below to have a better idea of how the Chamber play style will look in the next patch.

VALORANT is bringing us many distinct changes that will allow players to look for different ways of playing around the maps and agents. Some players might think that all these changes will allow a better gameplay experience while others might think the opposite. In the meantime, players must adapt and try to make the best plays based on the changes.
