Without a doubt, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is one of the most anticipated gaming-based films of recent times, if not the most. Of course, that's because we are talking about the jump to the big screen of Mario, one of the most emblematic characters of Nintendo, the video game industry, and popular culture in general. Yes, we are pretending the live-action film never existed, like maybe you should too.

All these expectations for its premiere could be felt yesterday with the release of the second official trailer. Well, technically, it was the first one since the promo shown in October is officially considered a teaser. As one can be expected, Internet just went nuts.

New images show more of the film

If you, like us, were left wanting to see more of the film, then surely you will be more than excited to know there is more footage out there. And yes, we are talking about official footage.

The new images are divided into a couple of promotional videos. The first of them lasts 30 seconds, showing never-before-seen footage, where we can hear a little more about the interpretation of Chris Pratt as the most famous plumber in video games.

The second video we're bringing you below lasts 20 seconds, and it's a spot aimed at the public in Spain. This commercial consists of a montage in which Toad and Kamek tell us a little about the film's plot, revealing that Luigi has been kidnapped and "the human with the mustache," referring to Mario, has arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom.

We're not sure if that's even possible, but have these two videos left you wanting to go to the movies even more to enjoy the movie?
