The demons of indefinite postponements seem increasingly ready to welcome Beyond Good & Evil 2 into the vaporware circle of Hell: judging from information gathered by leaker Tom Henderson, Ubisoft's sci-fi colossal would still be "in the early stages of development"!

Despite Beyond Good and Evil 2's eternal development time, worse than Duke Nukem Forever, Ubisoft's triple-A project would still be in an "early" stage of development, as reported to Henderson.

Bad news for players waiting for this title

The well-known leaker also claims that Beyond Good & Evil 2 playtest participants claim to have been able to access small areas with low-resolution textures and barely sketched polygonal models, i.e., without all the open-world elements with sandbox gameplay and emergent storytelling promised in recent years by the developers of this sci-fi adventure.

Henderson and the Insider Gaming portal editors also explain that they have received preview images and in-game clips from their anonymous sources (provided they are not made public). The media material shown to them suggests a reboot in development that has occurred in recent years, as nothing seen by the leakers shows the same level of detail as Beyond Good & Evil 2's 2018 pre-alpha demo.

In case you missed it: Portal RTX comes out in December, free for those who already own the game!

The only positive note in the material admired by Henderson and the Insider Gaming team would be the quality of the spaceships and scenes in space, described as "qualitatively similar to those seen in the 2018 demo."
