We are getting closer to one of the most anticipated events by the entire gaming community, The Games Awards 2022, and as many knows, every time the list of nominees comes out and the date approaches, there begin to be all kinds of opinions about which game deserves to win the game of the year.
On this occasion, two great games, God of War Ragnarok and ELDEN RING, are competing, along with other titles, in the game of the year category, so we see many fans voting for their favorite.
However, TIME awarded God of War Ragnarok as the most outstanding title of 2022. The magazine posted the top 10 games this year, and Kratos' adventure topped ELDEN RING by several places.

The publication highlighted the production levels of God of War: Ragnarök, its narrative, epic moments of action, and its emotional side. TIME considers the Santa Monica game spectacular in all its sections, so it was chosen as the 2022 GOTY.
As expected, ELDEN RING also appears in their top 10, but is in position 4. The jury highlighted its challenging combat and its attractive open world. However, it did put it below Horizon: Forbidden West and The Quarry, ranked 2nd and 3rd on the list, respectively.
