A few weeks ago Blizzard revealed its brand-new Overwatch 2 hero, Ramattra. The Null Sector leader showcases a much different and unique gameplay style that makes him the first-ever “Tempo Tank”.

What's new to know about Ramattra?

New development updates were premiered today (November 27) and Qiu Fang, the Lead Concept Artist, tells us about Ramattra's concept design and overviews his abilities. Something unexpected to know is that Ramattra was in development since 2017, making it 5 years of work finally revealed.

Qiu said that for designing the leader of Null Sector they had to use a lot of triangular shapes. This gives him a sense "of powerfulness, of intimidation, and just makes him feel a little bit sinister."

The Nemesis form Ramattra uses was thought to be based on his need to remain a tank. As Qiu says, this is "to fulfill that role visually and functionally."
