The antitrust U.K. knows the launch window for The Elder Scrolls 6: this is confirmed by the British regulator itself in publishing the documentation sent by Microsoft to finalize its acquisition of Activision and defend itself against accusations made by Sony with fears for the future of Call of Duty.

A title everyone wants to play

According to PCGamesN, in the extensive documentation produced by Microsoft to support its case before the commission charged with ascertaining the risks of monopoly or harm to competition arising from the $70 billion deal struck with Activision Blizzard, the U.S. tech giant provides hints about the timing of the launch of Bethesda's upcoming open-world RPG.

In a passage following Microsoft's description of The Elder Scrolls 6 as a series not comparable to Call of Duty, the Redmond-based company explains to British CMA members that TES 6 "should not be released before [omissis]."

In sharing the documents produced by the parties involved in this investigation, the U.K. commission thus prefers to keep the strictest confidentiality about the year of marketing of The Elder Scrolls 6 indicated to it by Microsoft, as well as about the lost revenue from the decision to turn the title into an Xbox exclusive and not offer it on PlayStation platforms.

In case you missed it: NieR Automata anime features Adam and Eve in a new trailer.

We already know that The Elder Scrolls 6 will see the light of day on PC and as a console exclusive on Xbox Series X/S (with immediate landing on Game Pass) several years from now, at the end of the current development path undertaken by Bethesda to shape the space RPG Starfield.
