The Activision-Blizzard-King purchase for the staggering sum of $68.7 billion is proving to be a highly complex deal for Microsoft, which has yet to get the green light from major anti-trust organizations worldwide. Also, complicating matters has been Sony's strenuous opposition.
While Microsoft and Sony try to make their case before the CMA, the anti-trust authority operating in the United Kingdom, there is no longer a shortage of discussion on the subject online. In recent hours Jez Corden, a Windows Central pen notoriously close to the Redmond-based company has also had his say.
Will Xbox not be present there?
The editor said he had heard mixed talk about Xbox's possible participation in the Game Awards show, which would seem not yet fully defined. According to Corden, there is a possibility that Microsoft might decide not to take part to avoid in any way influencing the opinions of the anti-trust authorities, which lately would be pretty attentive to the Redmond-based company's movements.
Corden was keen to point out that this is his speculation based on the current uncertainty behind the scenes and that he has not yet heard any definite rumors about it.
