Many video games have mysteries and hidden secrets that are usually remained secret. While some games have these enigmas revealed in future titles of their sagas, others unveil them in ways that a regular player would never be able to do.

But some mysteries have remained occult to keep players wondering about them and make their communities join for a specific cause, unveiling a game mystery. And Ghost's unmasked face is one of them.

Let's speak about data miners. These people share leaked content from popular games with no other reward than obtaining information that is not officially announced and, sometimes, getting content months before their release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 couldn't escape from them.

One of the longest-running mysteries in the saga was Ghost's appearance without his mask, now it's not a secret anymore. Below we have Ghost's face reveal, and we can confirm that he was modeled after his voice actor and motion capture performer, Samuel Rodkin. This was datamined from the multiplayer game’s files, then posted on the Call of Duty Reddit.

In case you missed it: "We will fight if necessary", Activision will defend the agreement with Microsoft

Knowing that Ghost's face was modeled after his motion capture performer doesn't make it an official reveal, as Samuel was indeed not the same person that gave life to this operator in the 2009 version. Yet it is an interesting mystery that can now be considered solved.

If you want to play the latest Modern Warfare II it is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox series X/S, and PC.
