During the G-STAR 2022 event, Team Ninja confirmed that they are working on Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive to bring these two historical series back to life through a reboot operation. This is something that fans of this sagas are sure loving, and we are all excited to see what's coming.

Who will be in charge of the reboot?

The news is already interesting in itself, but adding more meat to the fire is insider Shpeshal_Nick, who reports an exciting rumor: according to his sources, the reboot of Ninja Gaiden (and it is unclear whether that of Dead or Alive as well) would be entrusted to PlatinumGames, the studio responsible for games such as Bayonetta, Vanquish and other successful "Stylish Action" titles.

We do not know if PlatinumGames is already at work on the project or if there has been contact between the two parties. In any case, this is not the first time Team Ninja has talked about the return of Ninja Gaiden, and the company has never denied possible involvement of outside studios.

In case you missed it: Fall Guys new season is at a mysterious underwater sunken city.

Team Ninja is currently working on Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, Rise of the Ronin, and probably Nioh 3, so PlatinumGames may be the right choice to bring back the adventures of Ryu Hayabusa, which has been on hiatus for almost ten years if we exclude Ninja Gaiden Master Collection, the bundle that includes the first three games in the series in a remastered version.
