CD Projekt RED has officially announced The Witcher Remake, a move intended to debunk the progenitor of the RPG series and allow everyone to step into the shoes of the Witcher since the first adventure packaged by the Polish team.

Will there be a new voice for Geralt?

Not yet taking part in the project -- and we don't know if he ever will -- is Doug Cockle, the voice actor who has featured Geralt's low, sombre voice timbre in all chapters of the role-playing saga. In an interview with the microphones of Eurogamer, Cockle confirmed that he has not heard from CD Projekt about a remake of the voice acting and that he does not know any more than players about the remake.

Cockle does not know, therefore, whether CD Projekt is re-recording the RPG's dialogue or whether existing files will be reused. In any case, the actor says he is eager to return to play the Strike, and who knows whether a call from the Polish company will come soon.

In case you missed it: Fans rage with The Game Awards for Bayonetta 3 and Halo Infinite.

As revealed by CD Projekt at the announcement stage, The Witcher Remake is a recently born project, and we will have to wait a long time before its launch. The restoration of Geralt's first adventure is overseen by Fool's Theory, an external team composed of veterans of the saga, and is, in any case, led by CD Projekt itself.

Would you like the voice lines to be re-recorded for the remake? Let us know in the comments!
