Have you been enjoying Splatoon 3? I hope so, because Nintendo is preparing to launch a new season of content very soon, called “Chill Season 2022” filled with new weapons, stages, gear, game modes… you name it!
And how are you going to get it? Well, starting on December 1 if you are an Splatoon 3 player with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership you will have automatic access to the new content.
What can we expect?
Oh boy, there is a lot coming to the game, to begin with, be ready for “Big Run” a new game event that brings a twist to the co-op survival action of the Salmon Run game mode. The first Big Run will take place when the Salmonids invade the Wahoo World stage later this year so you better be practising until then.
On the other hand, we will also be getting the “X Battles” perfect for eel-ite Splatoon 3 players who want to put their abilities to test. In order to play, you will need to reach an elite rank in Anarchy Battles and risk X Power to challenge their way up the leaderboards. X Battles will debut on Dec. 1, along with three new weapons; a new Roller, Charger and Shooter and 10 returning weapons from previous Splatoon games, including some with modified sets.
And to keep things interesting, Nintendo will also add a couple of new additional stages, the new Brinewater Springs makes its “fresh” first appearance, and many sea-soned players will remember Flounder Heights from the first Splatoon game.

Also, all fashionable Inklings and Octolings will have access to a brand new catalog with a new collection of gear, custom titles, victory emotes, stickers and more to help you show off your style and stand out from your “piers.”
