Matt Booty's words about the extreme interactivity and mind-blowing graphics of State of Decay 3 on Unreal Engine 5 are followed by statements, also shared by the Xbox Game Studios boss, about the work being done by Bethesda Softworks on the sci-fi colossal Starfield.

In the media setting of the Friends Per Second podcast, the Microsoft executive in charge of Xbox Game Studios opens a small window on the Starfield realistic universe to praise the efforts put forth by Todd Howard and co. in finalizing the development of a video game that, while remaining in the groove traced by Bethesda's RPG experiences, will offer gameplay and content that is marked by originality.

Booty explains that he is "extremely confident they will not stand still on what they have created in the past. The approach they are taking is not someone who wants to create a reskin of Skyrim in space. Starfield introduces a lot of brand-new elements and a lot of original things. I feel fortunate to be involved in developing this game, and I love getting all the updates and reports from that team. I enjoy watching them operate as they refine the title."

In case you missed it: Nintendo just announced its Black Friday offers!

Also, during Booty's latest talk at Friends Per Second's microphones, the top contact for Xbox subsidiaries confirmed that Redfall would be released before Starfield.
