Just days after leaked images of Overdose surfaced on social media, Hideo Kojima's new project is back in the news with a video leak showing its gameplay.

The video in question is off-screen since it was recorded with a cell phone pointed at a laptop computer while playing the media file.

What do we know about this title so far?

Overdose appears to be a third-person survival horror starring Death Stranding's Mama. However, whether it is a spin-off, a prologue to the second part of the Kojima Productions series, or an altogether new IP based on the clip is unknown.

The woman appears exhausted or hurt and wanders around in some underground storage facility, using a lantern to help her see the route ahead. Things go wrong at some point, and something starts following her until it catches her as she hides behind cover.

The most interesting element is the video's conclusion, as the protagonist's apparent death is followed by a black screen and the words "Overdose - A Hideo Kojima Game."

In case you missed it: Oh no! Sonic Frontiers Switch ROM fully leaked.

It certainly appears to be the leak of Kojima's next game, and it cannot be ruled out that the footage in question will be shown at The Game Awards 2022 or some video game-themed event in the coming weeks, so we have to be patient for an official announcement.
