Is this the season of leaks and hacks? Because we have witnessed a lot of them recently. How can we forget the GTA 6 fiasco and recently the hack of Project Rene or The Sims 5? Is a pretty rough moment for their studios.
On the other hand, even though these leaks are not beneficial in a technical way for the studios, the early response from the public for both of these examples has been good. Maybe this will be the case too?
In case you missed it: Sonic Frontiers will be the game with the most content in the history of the franchise
According to a Reddit post in the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, a couple of days ago someone in 4Chan was playing the game and uploading clips of it either character animations, cutscenes, you name it.
Then and apparently unrelated to it, someone uploaded the first 5 minutes of the game on YouTube and today somebody decided to leak the Switch ROM, so yeah, it hasn’t been a good week for the Sonic Frontiers team as the game was just a couple of days away from its release.
Everything was via emulator
So, the .NSP appeared out of nowhere on the web and surprisingly it has been floating around without any problem by now. Actually, some players have been sharing their experiences and even though the game is pretty blurry and the resolutions look pretty bad for some the feedback has been so far “good” calling its performance on the Nintendo hybrid console “pretty great”.
Out of this we don’t have more details and at the end of the day we are just 5 days away from the release so, we will wait until then. If you can’t, remember to be careful with the links you click as it has been reported that several of them are hoaxes.
