A few weeks after the announcement of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, the new installment of the Japanese horror saga returns to show itself in a dedicated trailer.
Just in time for the Halloween festivities, the authors of Koei Tecmo have released a new trailer dedicated to the title, bringing excellent news for players waiting for this game to come out.
What do we know about this title so far?
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will take Japanese horror fans to the shores of Rogetsu Isle, a remote island located in southern Japan. Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of five girls, which occurred during a festival and was solved thanks to the intervention of a detective, the young women have fuzzy memories of the events of those days.
However, when two of them are suddenly found dead, the remaining three decide to return to the island and face their past. The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was generally well received by the press and players, including in the West, despite the lack of localization, and it is beloved for its story and atmosphere.

The new trailer for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse also reveals the game's release date. The latest installment in the Project Zero series will be available starting March 9, 2023. In addition to Nintendo Switch, the horror game will also find its way onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam), with a largely cross-platform debut.
