With Ubisoft having confirmed the development of Assassin's Creed Invictus, the French video game giant is taking the opportunity provided by its latest financial report to unveil more details about this ambitious PC and console project, presumably exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

What do we know about this title so far?

In a passage of the documentation produced by Ubisoft to illustrate its results and investments made in the last quarter, the transalpine company specifies that "an internal team of ours, consisting of many veterans For Honor developers, is currently working on an Assassin's Creed standalone multiplayer experience, referred to internally as Project Invictus."

According to Ubisoft's latest financial report, Invictus will be an experience that will be closely linked to the Assassin's Creed Infinity Hub, the medium- to the long-term program outlined in September by the French company during the Forward event on the future of Assassin's Creed from Mirage to Red.

In case you missed it: Elon Musk would take ideas from video games to revolutionize Twitter.

It will not, therefore, be a 'minor' project but a triple-A title that, Ubisoft points out, "will tie into the Infinity hub to reward players for their involvement in this universe and offer the titles in the series a common and more coherent narrative thread."
