Every day we are closer and closer to The Callisto Protocol release and even though the game is just a month away a lot of things have happened, to begin with, it was announced the space horror title entered its Gold phase some weeks ago. We also got to know that Japanese players will not be able to play it as it didn’t pass the requirements to be certified by the Japanese rating board CERO… a lot has happened.
However, in greater news, we learned that a new docu-series called “Mastering Horror” has debuted on Youtube and shares various aspects of the game. Here you will go behind the scenes with director Glen Schofield, the development team at Striking Distance Studios and the cast.

This first episode focuses on how to create shocking horror movies in media, actually, director Glen Schofield talks about certain horror movies and how their raw violence stuck with him to create most of his very own works. To be fair, at first glance that sounds weird, however, the episode is extremely interesting and pretty insightful on how design works in this type of videogames, like when they talk about how using humanity elements on horror creatures makes them even more menacing and scary.
