Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is about to hit the video game market: the date of October 28, 2022, is now just around the corner, and a great many gamers are looking forward to the arrival of this new edition of the game to immerse themselves once again-or even for the first time ever-in an adventure with great playful depth, especially for those who know how to appreciate the landmark survival horror genre.

Several fans expressed their full support for the company's new initiatives, including the re-release of Resident Evil in a new garb, particularly during the most recent Capcom-branded presentation dedicated solely to the Resident Evil brand. However, the first complaints regarding the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition are starting to surface on the internet, owing to a problematic distribution choice around the physical edition of the title in the issue.

What does this DLC format mean?

According to Lance McDonald's Twitter account, the physical edition of Resident Evil Gold Edition is only the base edition of the game with a DLC inside the package. While the mere choice to sell at a premium price the base edition of the game with a paper content inside (the one from which to redeem the DLC) may be despised by some users, Capcom has decided not to allow multiple users to redeem the DLC.

In other words, the DLC will be associated with a single user account on one's console, and, by necessity, selling the DLC as a code to be redeemed separately from the full game will lead to the inability to play the additional content by purchasing a used version of the game.

In case you missed it: Here's what went down at the Resident Evil Showcase.

This special edition includes: Resident Evil Village main game, Winters' Expansion additional content, Trauma Pack DLC , and access to Resident Evil Re:Verse online game. Village and the Trauma Pack DLC will become playable upon the release of the Gold Edition tomorrow.

Do you think Capcom made the right choice by selling this edition like this? Let us know in the comments!
