Fans already deciphered some of the hidden messages in Silent Hill: Townfall

Yeap, they did it!

Last week the Silent Hill Transmission took place and gave us a LOT to talk about. We are not going to lie, we were extremely happy and surprised with everything announced, we even wrote a resume, which you can read here in case you didn’t watch the stream.

In case you missed it: Silent Hill Townfall has been announced with a first trailer

As we were saying, during the stream several games were announced among them Silent Hill: Townfall the upcoming game developed by Annapurna Interactive and No Code Studios.

The game was revealed with a cryptic teaser trailer which at first glance was just… weird. However, during the presentation video, creative director Jon McKellan invited fans to analyze the trailer for clues. Of course, the fans didn’t wait for a second and started looking for answers.

Silent Hill forums and the Subreddit were flooded with fans’ guesses, actually in both of them you could find an SOS signal within the audio of the Silent Hill: Townfall trailer. By converting the video to mp3 format and listening to it at different frequencies, users claim to have discovered a secret message that reads "Whatever heart this town had has now stopped”.

Other users believe that around the second 33 of the Townfall trailer you can hear the question "Is it really Alessa?", which would be directly related to the little girl who appears in the first Silent Hill video game. With this footage, fans are convinced that Townfall could be the origin of Silent Hill as a whole, although we'll have to wait to find out more details.
