The first gameplay video on the Boreas' moon, the new setting that will serve as the backdrop for the future challenges to be played out in the Apex Games, has reduced battle royale shooter lovers' anticipation for the arrival of Apex Legends Eclipse.

What exactly is Broken Moon?

Born out of a terraforming project to recover Cleo following a catastrophic meteor impact, the scenario chosen by Respawn to host the new Apex Legends challenges brings fans of the title to battle in the setting of scientific and industrial installations on the destroyed moon of Boreas.

The new map's size will be comparable to World Borders but with significantly more diverse situations thanks to alien biomes and hyper-technological terraforming facilities. The first Apex Legends Eclipse gameplay video allows us to appreciate the various scenarios that will define Boreas, from the lovely Eternal Gardens to the recovery dock, via the terraforming facility and the calcified regolith spires that dominate the terrain.

In case you missed it: EA apologies for the lack of representation at its first Behind The Sims Summit.

The launch of the update that will officially begin Eclipse Season is scheduled for November 1 on PC and consoles, at the same time as the arrival of Apex Legends Catalyst.
