One of the most popular and beloved men in recent times is Henry Cavill, and now the British actor has broken the news that he will return as Superman.
Through his Instagram account, Henry Cavill shared a video in which he announced that it is official that he would return as Superman. The video begins with a static image of Henry Cavill playing Superman, assuring that this is only "a very small taste of what's to come."
If you've already seen Black Adam, this news probably won't take you by surprise. After all, in the film, we had the opportunity to once again see Henry Cavill's Superman alongside Black Adam, a character played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
That said, the actor wanted to wait until most DC fans had a chance to see the film before speaking about it. The foregoing is a measure to avoid ruining the surprise to the fans at the cinema.
Another important point is that Henry Cavill's statements make it clear that the plan is for the actor to be Superman again for a long time. In other words, it confirms that his return wasn't just a cameo for Black Adam and that there are plans for Cavill's Superman in the DC Extended Universe.
A few days ago, a report by The Hollywood Reporter emerged in which it claimed that Warner wants to make a sequel to Superman starring Henry Cavill. The film is already in early development and is looking for writers to join the team led by producer Charles Roven.
