In a surprise move, Ubisoft officially announces the development of the console porting of Anno 1800: the ambitious industrial revolution strategy will arrive only on next-generation platforms and then exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Will it be the same as its PC version?
The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions are expected to boast the same content as the strategic and management experience loved by fans on PC, but in a playful guise revamped by the presence of a revised and corrected interface according to the use of the controller in place of the mouse/keyboard pair.
We will have our first contact with the console re-release of Anno 1800 in November, with the beta testing phase organized by Ubisoft's German subsidiary to finalize its development after receiving feedback from the community. Should you be interested, Ubisoft has already opened the page to register for the Anno 1800 technical test on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

In charge of this new version of Anno 1800 will be the same developers of the original strategy colossal, namely Blue Byte Studios.
