Battlefield 2042 did not become the success expected by both Electronic Arts and DICE, and everyone knows that. Despite this, there is a significant base of players who play it frequently, eager for more content. For them (maybe, you?), today we have a rumor that could end up becoming good news.

According to Insider Gaming sources who reportedly have access to Electronic Arts' internal release schedule, Battlefield 2042 Season 3 will be available starting November 22, 2022. The report indicates that the study does not expect a change of date.

What can we expect on the new season?

Earlier this year, the developer studio shared the following message through the official EA site:

"As we shared in the video, we have started work on a massive overhaul on the way that you’ll play with Specialists. This is a big undertaking for us, and whilst this work won’t feature in Season 2, we’re planning for it to feature in Season 3 later on this year. Presently we’re targeting this to go live in Update 3.2, but as we work through the changes, and incorporate more feedback, we’ll be in the best position to let you know if we can make it happen earlier in the season.”

We already talked about the rumored start date for Season 3 and recap DICE's words about it. But, what can we expect in terms of content? Entering the field of speculation, we may have a new map, a new specialist, a new Battle Pass, new weapons, and new vehicles.

Published by Electronic Arts and developed by DICE under the direction of Lars Gustavsson, Battlefield 2024 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
