Eight minutes full space horrors

The Dead Space remake is one of the most awaited remakes of 2023 and even though we are two months away, developer Motive has released an eight-minute gameplay walkthrough to show you more in-depth the updated visuals and a glimpse of the space terrors you may encounter.

Senior Producer Phillipe Ducharme hosts the video, showing the reimagined USG Ishimura, and the key improvements including updated visual fidelity, the interconnected ship, the intensity director, and more.

He starts with Ishimura’s hangar at the beginning of Chapter Three, one of Ducharme’s personal favourites. Here we can appreciate the graphic changes made in comparison with the original. Ducharme also noted that in this remake you will be able to navigate between chapters without load screens or having a camera cutaway; making it a seamlessly interconnected ship.

Also, we were able to see how the Intensity Director works, with the enemies, lighting, and ambience changing each time you return to a previously explored area, making each moment of gameplay unique.

The devil is in the details

Of course, they maintained most of the memorable moments of the original, however, they added a bunch of graphical enhancements making each encounter even gorier than the other. Clearly, this version will be even more intense, challenging, and unpredictable, we just can’t wait for it.

Without further due, we will leave the gameplay below:

Remember the Dead Space Remake arrives on January 27, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Origin.
