Overwatch 2 launch was rough, to say the least, as on the first day the terrible server issues and DDoS attacks followed by bugs and their bashed phone number requirements definitely concerned the community. However, that did not matter because although there were endless difficulties, the title has shown that its popularity continues to grow no matter what.
Today, Blizzard Entertainment shared with us via Twitter that in only 10 days Overwatch 2 amassed over 25 million players.
Controversy aside, these are great numbers
We need to admit that these numbers are not very surprising as the Overwatch community was already pretty large, however, we are happy to know that the sequel has given a boost to the player base in a very short time.Hopefully this number will grow, as long as Blizzard takes action in the several controversies that are still surrounding the sequel.
