Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League might be announced at the Game Awards

Media packages that have been sent to press and influencers

For more than a year now, the name of Wumpa League, a rumored multiplayer spin-off of Crash Bandicoot, has been circulating in the recesses of the web.

Activision has never confirmed or denied the rumor, yet some players are convinced that the announcement is now just around the corner. The theory is based on a clue that is impossible to ignore: let's proceed in order.

Activision sent the content creator known as 'Canadian Guy Eh' a very special package today; as you can see, it is in the shape of a pizza box from a fictitious pizza parlor known as Aku Aku's Steam-In Pizza Shack and conceals several collectibles inside, including a T-shirt, a giant mouse pad, and more. Our interests, on the other hand, are quite different.

To begin, there is a forged receipt on the box suggesting the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time on Steam on October 18, 2022. Remember, as of today, the Toys for Bob platformer is only available on Battle.net.

But that's not all! On the box's edge is written: "Do you want more? For $12.08, try our new Wumpa pizza! " a message that appears to all intents and purposes to set the announcement of the rumored Wumpa League for December 12, a date that is far from coincidental, since the Game Awards 2022 will be held that day.

For the uninitiated, rumors have described Wumpa League as a free-to-play multiplayer brawler-style game starring the heroes and villains of the franchise.

Would you like to play something like that using these world's characters? Let us know in the comments!
