The issue of the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft has been a long process. Although most countries have approved the purchase, the UK is still undergoing detailed investigations to see if this purchase would not affect the gaming industry with monopoly practices.
In the process of this investigation, the CMA has asked before to Microsoft to justify the acquisition and explain which is Microsoft's vision for this new purchase. Even though the company has answered this directly, they also decided to write a statement for Microsoft’s blog to explain the acquisition. The message was written by Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

Microsoft has launched a website explaining the company's details, benefits, and projections once they acquire Activision Blizzard. The blog’s title is: “Gaming for everyone, everywhere: our view on the Activision Blizzard acquisition.”
In summary, the benefits Microsoft projects for the gaming industry with the acquisition is to have more games on multiple platforms, including PlayStation. More options on where to buy games or subscription plans. They are also creating more alternatives to obtain more games on mobiles.
Besides that, the company assured fomenting mobile industry competence by bringing more games to mobile platforms through cloud game streaming technology.
“The gaming industry today is robust and dynamic. Industry leaders, including Tencent and Sony, continue to expand their deep and extensive libraries of games as well as other entertainment brands and franchises, which are enjoyed by players everywhere. We believe that a thorough review will show that the combination of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will benefit the industry and players.” said Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
