Two games that seem to be on the horizon. Pun intended.

Undoubtedly, Horizon stands out as one of the newest PlayStation franchises that have generated the most significant impact and success for the company at a commercial level. With two main installments now available, both enjoying great reception from critics and gamers alike, it's only natural that we look forward to more Alloy adventures in the future.

We already know that multiple projects are currently in development, including a new PS VR2 game called Horizon Call of the Mountain. In the same way, we must not forget that there is a series coming to Netflix, which surely will help more people to get to know this universe created by Guerrilla Games.

Now, it seems there's more on the way.

Two reasons to get excited

As we anticipated in the headline, there is a rumor (vía MP1st) that there are currently two games in this series that could be on the way. One is a remake or remaster of the original game. Horizon Zero Dawn, while the other is a title focused on the multiplayer component. Let's talk about each of them.

Speaking of the first game, it is unknown whether or not it would be a game built from scratch like a traditional remake. It is said that it would have an improved lighting system, better animations, overhauled textures, as well as new character models on par with those seen in the sequel, Horizon Forbidden West.

We would see a great focus on the accessibility options of the most recent adventure, in addition to having multiple graphics modes as is currently the case with many games. As for the gameplay, the changes would be pretty subtle, mostly consisting of the quality of life improvements we already saw in the sequel.

Speaking of the multiplayer game, three different sources would have confirmed the existence of this project. One of them mentioned that we could expect a cooperative experience. Apparently, the customization would revolve around the different tribes introduced in the franchise, although the latter is not confirmed.

For now, it is unknown when this pair of rumored games would be announced or launched. Tell us, what do you think? Would you like both the remake or remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn and the multiplayer game to end up being officially announced?
