Skull and Bones escapes God of War: yet another postponement for the pirate open-world

Delayed by 4 months at the last minute

Arrgh! Skull and Bones' privateer ships will not set sail on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S: Ubisoft Singapore has announced that the pirate open-world will be delayed until 2023.

In a message posted on the official website of Ubisoft, the developers of the pirate experience, which has already been the subject of numerous postponements over the years, explain that "Before the global launch, our team is working to improve and balance the game. As a result, we've made the difficult decision to push the release date of Skull and Bones to March 9, 2023."

To sweeten the bitter pill of the postponement to 2023, the Ubisoft Singapore team is reaching out to all prospective digital pirates to explain that "We are pleased to announce that an open beta will be held shortly.

Keep your pirate scopes firmly pointed on our social profiles to receive the latest news on Skull and Bones, as we will soon share full details on how to register and participate in the beta."

If you didn’t know Skull and Bones has faced several major reboots during its almost decade-long development, with the game being first revealed by Ubisoft at E3 in 2017, so yeah, have been waiting for a long time.
