Bandai Namco has announced that The Dark Pictures Anthology is now available in an optimized version for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and that Man of Medan and Little Hope can be upgraded for free with many new features and technical improvements beginning today.
What does the update bring to us?
Man of Medan is the first game in The Dark Pictures Anthology, while Little Hope is the second game in the horror anthology d Supermassive. Many new features, including an improved interface and new accessibility options, are included in the free update:
- New difficulty settings & QTE warnings.
- Improved UI & interactions.
- Updated bearing art & event triggers.
- Increased walking speeds.
- More accessibility options, including subtitle sizing.
- A new chapter for Man of Medan called Flooded, which introduces new gameplay and new deaths to the climactic ending of the game.

A good opportunity to discover this series of horror stories ahead of the November 18 release of The Devil in Me, a game that marks the conclusion of season one of The Dark Pictures Anthology.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is being developed by Supermassive Games, the studio behind Until Dawn, Until Dawn Rush of Blood, and the more recent The Quarry, all of which have received positive feedback from fans of horror-themed video games.
