The anime's official website has released a new trailer for the second season of Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out!, an adaptation of TAKE's manga of the same name. The official title is 'Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Double,' and it will be released on October 1. In the trailer, you can hear some of the ending theme song, titled Happy Life, written by the MKLNtic couple.
The story follows Hana Uzaki (Naomi Zora) reuniting with her high school friend Shinichi Sakurai (Kenji Akabane) in college. Uzaki is surprised, however, that Shinichi has become a loner, preferring to spend his free time alone. So he continues to date him to the point where people mistake them for a couple.
Shinichi Fukumoto, one of the directors of the first season episodes, has been hired as an assistant director for the second season. Masahiko Suzuki and Shinpei Koikawa will work as animation directors alongside Manabu Kurihara.
Satoshi Kubo is the new art director as well as the art setting artist. Haruko Nobori and Yusuke Yamamoto are the new color key artist and photography compositing directors, respectively. Satoshi Igarashi is now working on music with Tatsuya Yano, Yuri Morita, and Naoki Tani (HANO).
The first season broadcasted in 2020 and was aired by Crunchyroll. The manga has been serialized through Niconico Seiga's Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017.
