Who knew that what would give the Cyberpunk 2077 video game a second chance after its terrible launch would be an anime? In case you don't know, his new anime is trending because of how well the community has received it.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners was released on September 13 on the Netflix platform and has achieved so much popularity that even Hideo Kojima himself has been fascinated.
On his official Twitter account, Kojima expressed how much he enjoyed this anime and saw it all in "one sitting."
He also commented, "Under the recent domestic anime situation, there was a feeling that famous Japanese studios were consumed by the overseas market, but not this one! This is a miracle of squeezing the trigger to the world!”

For my generation, the world view and visuals remind me of Yoshiaki Kawajiri's "Cyber City OEDO 808".
In case you didn't know, the anime is so successful that it even boosted the sales of Cyberpunk 2077 as well.
