Continuing the theme of the GTA 6 leak, after Rockstar Games confirmed that it was indeed a hack, now the focus is on finding those responsible for this attack, and so far, some of the clues point toward a group of hackers that has become famous in recent months.

WHO ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?

The attack on Rockstar Games is being investigated by the FBI and the United States Department of Justice, and the first lines of the investigation point to the Lapsus$ group.

According to information from The Gamer, the 16-year-old British man who is allegedly one of the leaders of the hacker group designated as responsible for attacking Nvidia, Microsoft, and Samsung has once again sounded in hacking forums.

According to this version, the young man would have reported on his Telegram account that he had Rockstar Games as his next target, although after the leaks, the profile was deleted.

For its part, the Twitter account @videotech_ reports that this group would not only be responsible for the attack on Rockstar Games but also for the recent offensive against UBER that resulted in the theft of data from millions of users of the transport service.

At the time, the attacks on large companies carried out by the Lapsus$ group were something to talk about due to the ease with which they violated the security of their systems. After the hacking of Microsoft, the company made public the modus operandi of this group, pointing out that part of its strategy was to convince workers to reveal internal information in exchange for the promise of good pay.

The investigations around Lapsus$ have resulted in some arrests of members of cells that operate for this group in Europe and South America. It is even said that the 16-year-old would have amassed at least $10 million, but after the authorities' visit, They did not find any evidence at his home, and his situation as a minor has not allowed further progress.
