Diablo IV closed beta focused on end-game coming soon!

A public testing phase, open to all players, is planned for early 2023

Confirmation of a Diablo IV Closed Beta came as a surprise today, which will be held soon and will focus on the end-game activities of the long-awaited Blizzard-signed title.

The developers also revealed in detail which modes the lucky selected users will be able to experience firsthand when the servers open in a lengthy post published on the game's official website.

It starts with the Hell Tide, a server-wide event that makes all enemies stronger while increasing the chances of finding high-level loot around Sanctuarium, possibly by opening one of the valuable HellTide chests with the event currency called Braces. The Nightmare Expeditions are dungeons with special modifiers that grant high-level loot to those who complete them.

Then there are the Whispers of the Dead, which are timed challenges in which you can earn gold, experience, and Grim Favors, which are used to purchase equipment. It concludes with the Fields of Hatred, which corresponds to the developers' previously announced PvP mode. After reaching the maximum level, set at 50, you can then unlock the Paragon Boards, which are used to boost the protagonist's stats.

There is currently no set date for the tests to begin, and Blizzard has confirmed that participants will not be chosen through the traditional system of registration on the official website.

All series veterans who have recently spent a significant amount of time in the Diablo II Resurrected or Diablo III endgame will be chosen, and they also revealed that public tests will begin in early 2023.
