So, as many of you know by now (and those who didn’t, now you do), the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta begins this weekend. Among the most exciting things about the beta release, many fans of the saga are looking forward to getting a first chance to experience Modern Warfare’s multiplayer suite. According to Activision, the beta this feature will offer a “robust experience going beyond the Core 6v6 experience.”
So, yes, the hype is real.
If you’re looking to acquire a beta code, here is everything you need to know (thanks, VGC!)

- Early Access – September 16-17
- Open Beta – September 18-20
- Open Beta – September 22-23
- Open Beta – September 24-26
Xbox and PC
- Early Access – September 22-23

So, the first beta weekend (September 16-20) will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and the second weekend (September 22-26) will be available to all players.
Crossplay will be active during the second weekend.
You can get a Modern Warfare II beta code by pre-ordering the game in a digital version. If you pre-order a copy from Amazon, you’ll also receive the code and can cancel the pre-order, allowing you to play the beta without purchasing the game.
Players can earn several in-game rewards by playing the beta, which will be available in the main Modern Warfare II game at launch.
Keep an eye on more details regarding the beta version of the upcoming title at Call of Duty: Next, a special broadcast taking place tomorrow. This digital announcement will give new information on Modern Warfare II, Warzone, and the mobile version of Warzone.
