Everything announced during Assassin’s Creed Showcase 2022

There is a lot to talk about…

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is officially announced

Once again, starting on a high note a brand new trailer of the new Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. As you may already know, this title was surrounded by many rumours and leaks, which prompted the company to confirm it.

The official presentation of the game finally happened today and it was accompanied (as we said before) by a cinematic trailer staring Basim Ibn Ishaq from his beginnings as a street thief to his way to master assassin.

According to Ubisoft Bordeaux’s Narrative Director Sarah Beaulieu, this new entry plans to go back to the roots of the franchise and separate itself from the most recent titles. The plot takes place 20 years before Valhalla and besides following Basim, we got to see Roshan who will serve as Basim's mentor, training him as a Hidden One. Actually, Roshan will be voiced by Emmy-winner Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Assassin's Creed Mirage will be available on 2023, pre-orders are open now and if place yours now, you will be able to play the exclusive 40 Thieves side quest.

Special 15th anniversary documentary

We also got a special 15th-anniversary documentary where we can look back on many of the saga's greatest moments. How its evolution and grow were shaped by countless people not only at Ubisoft studios but the large and ever-growing global community.

You can watch it here:

The last chapter of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The last DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will come at the end of this year 2022, and will give us the proper closure to Eivor's story. The expansion will be called 'The Last Chapter’ and will be completely free.

Live-action for everyone!

As we informed you before, during the Ubisoft Forward stream, Netflix and Ubisoft are still working on the Assassin’s Creed series. During this segment, they assured us that the project is in process, but in a very early stage of production. However, we got the confirmation of Jeb Sturat as the showrunner. If you are not familiar with his work, he is best known for Vikings and Die Hard; so, expect big things.

China and Japan, our next destinations

During the showcase, we also got to know about Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade and Assassin’s Creed Codename: Red. Two of the upcoming franchise projects which will be reaching new places.

First Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade will be a AAA RPG action-adventure game set in ancient China. Here you will be able to create your own character to parkour across the Great Wall of China and explore a vast open world on mobile, yes you read that one correctly. But don’t worry you will not lose all the features that we love from AC’s games as it will be optimized accordingly.

On the other hand Assassin’s Creed Codename: Red will be the next premium flagship title on the franchise; developed by Ubisoft Montreal this open-world RPG will be set in Feudal Japan, so you can make your shinobi dreams come true

Last but not least...

Before the end the showcase, Ubisoft also revealed two important announcements the first being Assassin’s Creed Codename: HEXE, set in 16th Century Europe during the Witch Trials; this title promised to be the darkest and scariest AC game yet... so, horror fans rejoice!

And to close the show, we got to know Assassin's Creed Infinity, a project that will gave players a system that aims to connect projects and players through different experiences. The infinity hub will be the nexus linking all other Assassin's Creed games including the next announced titles, Project Red and 'Project HEXE.

All of these upcoming projects sound quite ambitious, let's hope to know more details about each one soon! Let us know which one catches your attention the most in the comments below.
