Banjo-Kazooie composer Grant Kirkhope wants to remaster the original soundtrack

Please do it!!!

Grant Kirkhope is one of the most talented and known composers in the industry, he has created the kind of melodies that you only need to listen for a few seconds to instantly know what game it is.

With incredible works under his belt, you must know him for legendary soundtracks like GoldenEye 007Banjo-KazooieDonkey Kong 64, Viva Piñata and Perfect Dark and precisely he wants to bring back one of his greatest pieces of work.

According to a tweet posted by Kirkhope himself, he is planning to remake the Banjo-Kazooie original soundtrack, completely faithful to the original but with updated instruments.

Obviously, this remaster would be classed as a cover version as it is not an official Banjo-Kazooie release. With this in mind, we can expect it to be released on mainstream music platforms for all of us to enjoy.

Wasn't this released before?

While this is not the first time Kirkhope has reworked some of his legendary soundtracks, this would be the first time he remastered any of them. Actually, last year he released an album called Banjo Kazooie Rejiggyed which included re-imagined versions of ten themes from the first Banjo adventure.

Best part? The album is free to listen and you can find it on several platforms, like Spotify YouTube or Apple Music.

While this is just a project in the works, we can’t wait to listen to the remastered songs just to go back and remember the good times we had playing the iconic Nintendo 64 game.
