Phasmophobia is adding a custom difficulty mode this month!

Updated roadmap released today

To be more open about what's to come in Phasmophobia, the developers released a new ''development preview,'' indicating that the next major update will be available in September.

Phasmophobia players have been waiting for months for the famous update that brought not only the Custom mode but also the redesign of the Asylum, Sunny Meadows.

The month of August came and went with no news from Kinetic Games, leaving the community wondering when we would be able to enjoy these new features. If no date is specified, the studio has set the month of arrival.

The new game mode and map will arrive in September. We will also be able to welcome a reporting system, as well as some surprises. The Custom mode allows you to create a game based on your preferences by changing almost all the parameters (difficulty, number of cursed objects, speed, etc.).

Kinetic Games provided a new overview of its roadmap for the coming months, in addition to confirming the upcoming arrival of the next major update. The weather effects should be rebuilt by the end of the year, and the progression update will arrive in three parts next year, allowing us to enjoy more regular content.

It will also include new equipment and customization. Finally, later in 2023, Horror 2.0 will arrive as Phasmophobia's most significant update.

Kinetic Games finally states that, as is customary, minor game improvements will come out in between major updates. Meanwhile, Phasmophobia is still available in early access on PC.
